Dash Core Group

Phoenix. Dash Core Group. At its peak Dash was a top-five cryptocurrency touching a ten-billion-dollar market cap. Here the decentralized API (DAPI) and the flagship DashPay wallet were built, and the platform and wallet teams were led and hired. I originated the concepts behind the deterministic and simplified masternode lists (DML / SML), long-living masternode quorums (LLMQs) and ChainLocks; the wider engineering team later formalized the DIPs and delivered the implementations. I am a named co-inventor on published US patent application US20220108285A1, which documents the underlying deterministic-masternode and quorum architecture; ChainLocks itself is outside the application. The resulting consensus architecture has since been used to protect blockchain networks representing billions in value. Beyond the engineering came the leadership: introducing Agile, standing up the GitHub org and NPM namespace, public speaking at Money20/20 and conferences across Stockholm and Salt Lake City, and the unglamorous work of 0-day crisis response. This is also where the pattern that explains every later win first appeared: a decisive operator held the front, while the engineering was held here.
